Porter Road: dry-aged beef prices per lb

Other places that ship dry-aged beef
Snake River Farms sells a dedicated dry-aged collection (American Wagyu and USDA Prime steaks). That line is separate from the rest of its Wagyu catalog, so the per-lb numbers on our Snake River Farms review mix dry-aged and non-dry-aged listings — use SRF’s own dry-aged collection when that is what you want.
Specialty butchers such as Pat LaFrieda, Allen Brothers, DeBragga and Linz also ship dry-aged Prime and steakhouse cuts. We don’t scrape those stores daily, so we don’t invent their prices here. If you want grass-fed ranch beef that may not be dry-aged, start at cheapest grass-fed beef online or grass-fed steak prices.
Porter Road vs a meat subscription
Meat boxes (ButcherBox and similar) rarely dry age. If you are weighing a dry-aged butcher against a mixed subscription, see Porter Road vs ButcherBox: live Porter Road cut prices next to ButcherBox’s Signature box math.
Questions
Where can I buy dry-aged beef online?
Several US butchers and ranches ship dry-aged beef. Among the shops we price every day, Porter Road is the one that dry ages all of its beef at its own Kentucky facility (Porter Road FAQ, Oct 29, 2026). Its in-stock beef on Nov 4, 2026 ran $6.99–$97.91/lb. Snake River Farms also sells a dedicated dry-aged line (American Wagyu and USDA Prime); that is a separate collection from its regular Wagyu, so we don’t mix those into one per-lb table here.
How much does dry-aged beef cost per pound?
At Porter Road on Nov 4, 2026, dry-aged beef listings ran from $6.99/lb (Sliced Beef Liver) to $97.91/lb (Filet Mignon). Dry-aged ground beef was $12.99/lb, and its cheapest steak cut we matched was brisket at $15.99/lb. Specialty dry-aged Prime and Wagyu from other butchers often runs higher.
What is dry-aged beef?
Dry aging hangs beef in a controlled cooler so natural enzymes tenderize the muscle and moisture evaporates, concentrating flavor. Porter Road’s FAQ (Oct 29, 2026) says the tenderizing enzyme works for up to 8 days and that it dry ages all of its beef for that reason. Supermarket beef is rarely dry-aged.
Is Porter Road dry-aged beef grass-fed?
Pasture-raised, not 100% grass-finished. Porter Road says its cattle graze on grass year round and are offered a grain supplement on pasture (Oct 29, 2026). It uses no hormones or antibiotics. If you need grass-finished only, compare our grass-finished beef price pages — those ranches are a different feed claim.
Does Porter Road ship dry-aged beef?
Yes, to the contiguous US. Free shipping starts at $150, $175 or $250 depending on your state; most orders arrive in 1–4 business days, mostly fresh rather than frozen (shipping policy, Oct 29, 2026).
Do you earn money from Porter Road?
